The original concept and design was first developed by Shirow in 1987. The experiences of three boys who have had traumatic experiences in childhood from which they have learned to transfer their souls to a parallel world known as the "Unseen World". Up to 25 episodes, the show revolves around cases that are submitted by different characters.
