The only downside I would say is that they offered to turn the beds down too early every night as we were in the room getting ready to go out about 7pm. Edinburgh. Edinburgh Waverley Station and the main shopping area are a 5-minute walk away. We did get it heated but wasn't great..We then went to the lounge for a drink..two glasses of wine and a cocktail we received the two wine but had to wait ten minutes for the cocktail the service was poor..don't think I will be back!

Stayed 2 nights in April in the Deluxe Room(Castle View).We have just returned from 3 days in Edinburgh celebrating a friends birthday - the hotel is lovely and smaller than I thought - check in was easy and the flowers in reception are beautiful - we booked an executive double which we were not disappointed with - large room with big bathroom - very clean - nice products with slippers and dressing gown to use. The Balmoral is a grand railway hotel located at Edinburgh's most prestigious address, No 1 Princes Street.
