While we might have been scared off by the non-traditional menu, we seized the available table and gambled on finding something we'd enjoy. I came here for restaurant week and was off the bat impressed by the non-skimpy, nice choices of the RW menu. Oberlin opened up towards the tail end of my time in Providence, and I'm regretful that I haven't spent more time with the more casual seafood and wine-focused offshoot of the excellent tasting menu-only Birch. birch is a lil bit different than what it used to be but birch has always been a little bit different anyways. They encourage sharing.. we did. It's a very professional kitchen. The scallops were alright, but again not enough flavor for me. Had time enough to before the performance to have a glass of wine the roasted carrot dish and the cheese plate with a lovely...Amazing. Wine beer mostly and a few Vodka Gins. birch restaurant.
Explore. I can get a carafe 2 blocks away for the same price. Everything was perfectly prepared, cooked and seasoned. They have tons of excellent sakes that pair well with your crudo too. I sent it back. This being said, a friend of mine told me about this place not too long ago. When our plans to dine at Birch were squashed we made our way to Oberlin and we're so happy things worked out the way they did.

I think that this dish really exemplifies what Oberlin does well. Sanitation Guidelines. Communal tables. There were four of us. Save room for desert, the tart is not to miss, and pavlova is melt in your mouth delicious. Since it was the last day of Restaurant Week, I decided to check out Oberlin and see what they had to offer.I am a big fan of Oberlin.
I have to say, I've been here countless times and have never taken the time to write a review. The grilled sourdough was really good, though next time I might just get it with garlic and oil. By the time we left at 7, the place was full. I found myself in town for a night with literally under an hour for a meal and decided to make it Oberlin.I've come here a few times since my first review - and this place is so damn good.
Raw menu is not imaginative, then again any raw menu is never imaginative. By chance went into this lovely place for dinner and what a pleasant surprise. The agnolotti and beef tartare was delicious, wish there was more of it!One of the finest meals I've ever had. If they have a tart on the menu, make sure you try it!So .. 1st timer.
