Surely it had to be good!This book is oddly two stories rolled into one, connected by a thread, but with more page space devoted to the first story than the second.

Unlike the movies, the books they put out in the late 70's/early 80's never really hit their stride, and this was probably the worst of the bunch.This extraordinarily bad book barely has no plot, and indeed is basically two connected novellas.

I first read this book in 1979 when it first came out (I was 16) and re-read it a few weeks ago (you do the math). This TPB contains Avengers Vol.

(Or Conquerer, as it's misspelled on the back cover.) I have to give props to the author for his vocabulary; I feel like I haven’t seen some of these words since reading the classics. David Micheline was a very good comics writer, particularly on Iron Man, and his knowledge of the characters shows to good effect. It had a decent flow to it; it held my interest but I had no problem putting the book down it something else came my way. This book was a mess. if you are a comic super hero fan these are Very recommended. Abgeschlossen in zwei Bänden.
