This was mainly due to the never ending flashbacks stretching from the eighties through to the current day. 2019, Starz, 8 episodes Games Normal People: Season 1 Only Adam reappeared, covered in blood not his own and with his T-shirt deliberately slashed. Critics Consensus: Thrilling, but a bit tired, Dublin Murders's grim subject matter is no doubt gripping, but for some it may feel a little like djvu. My Brilliant Friend: Season 2 RSS Feeds The Baby-Sitters Club (2020):... Cassie stares at her twin, stunned (but not stunned enough, really). Dodgy land deals. Well shot and well acted. Dublin Murders [is] a mess and, in parts, preposterous. There were also far too many flashbacks which became intrusive & seemed like unnecessary padding.

Perhaps were it aimed purely at a teen audience the it might almost have been acceptable, however that is probably being overly hard on the younger generation. Why was it made with so many glaring plot holes? I May Destroy You: Season 1 It's just how it is.
For those that are looking for a standard police thriller kind of thing, don't bother. I note from the credits it was based on two books and this seemed to come through quite clearly in the TV adaptation. 82 out of 120 found this helpful. However, I am not a Sarah Phelps fan after the mess she made of the Javier Falcon novels when she adapted those for TV.

In TV, perhaps the most consistent proof of the pudding has been in the many successful adaptations of Agatha Christie there have been – most notably and recently by Sarah Phelps, whose rich, dark versions of the murder mysteries have become a much-anticipated Christmas treat. Was this review helpful? Enough said. You base your review on the plot description, you people are ruining IMBd for everyone else. A dark and dreary story set in a dark and dreary town that never gets up from under itself. James Jackson . Both have secrets, we're told, although Cassie has a couple that seem more like things she'd rather not talk about that could otherwise be pretty easily explained away.The key, though, is that they have bonded over those secrets and, as partners, vow to keep it that way. They have also included a couple of things that are not in the book that seem to work well. Tow identical women live miles from each other one with the name of a person created by the other. Tho I mostly prefer UK based series.
For realists only, this series may require some viewer patience while the complexities of the plot and the characters are developed. Was this review helpful? This doppleganger is not only using Cassie's imaginary friend's name, but that name is also the same fake identity that Cassie chose when she was working undercover. The production value was good, acting and a pretty intriguing, interesting mystery.
The show is a mess. The relationship between Rob and Cassie is rendered pretty well.

Having just watched the final episode, I anticipated a "Sixth Sense" type finish. Was this review helpful? Who doesn't like a good Ireland-set TV series, all damp and green and big-city like (not that Dublin proper is much of a character here).
It was atmospheric & technically well put together but ultimately the writing wasn't strong enough. But mostly we see kids running a lot, and looking back over their shoulders as they do.
