Since there was no Golden Age Wonder Woman in the new continuity, the JSA's Golden Age secretary was revealed to be Miss America, a Golden Age Quality Comics heroine who was also a member of the Freedom Fighters. So many lives crumbling. It's a decent self contained story about some of DC's golden age superheroes. I want to tell myself it's because I wanted to prolong the ending of a story I was enjoying, honestly, though, I probably got busy playing video games, or reading a novel or non-fiction title. Overall I loved it. It absolutely feels like a a new and different form of storytelling for DC, more naturalistic in its conversations and daring in its use of time, characters and crosscutting between points of view. I can dig some of the "grim and gritty" characterization but there's so many threads at the start by the end it all feels a little thin. Too bad, since the characters are all interesting enough when done properly, but this just fails on many levels.
