Even though the parking lot was packed it didn’t feel overwhelmingly busy — there were still plenty of picnic tables and fire pits open and lots of spots to fish. Turns out that the campground closest to the fee station (Yellow Pine) was not gated and I did see a van and tent camper in there one morning, but I opted for the trailhead parking lot (which had a bathroom) and slept in my car. You can also walk down along the falls, but you'll need to scramble a bit over small boulders.There are more than 500 lakes in the High Uinta Wilderness Area...but you'll have to hike or even backpack overnight to see most of them.Most of the lakes right alongside the Mirror Lake Scenic Byway offer campsites, so if you want to make this a weekend trip, you certainly can!It's pretty small, and features a trail that goes all the way around. Mirror Lake Loop is a 2.4 kilometer moderately trafficked loop trail located near Kamas, Utah that features a lake and is good for all skill levels. Really enjoyed eating lunch by the water.We camped up at the lake and took a few walks around the lake at different times back at the beginning of July. Beautiful area!
