It's based on a self-evaluation by the property. However, the dessert was disappointing - though you can choose dessert from the a la carte if you wish. Other miscellaneous taxes and hotel fees which are not fixed or due at time of booking may be payable at the property at time of stay. There is the option to have a hot breakfast by going to the restaurant, but we would advise anyone staying at The Witchery to go for the continental breakfast in your room. Totally different from anywhere else we have been.
Definitely recommend as a very special treat.Wonderful though the pictures look they just don't do it justice - a truly magical hotel, it's a real treat for your senses with so many quirky and delightful design features.

After check in (at the Secret Garden) Roxy took our bags across and showed us round. We had the lamb wellington, and I will be craving it for the rest of my life - be sure to try it. Fabulous! After dinner it was just a short walk across the cobbled street back to our suite. Staff took a note of our expected arrival time and Roxy from concierge was waiting to welcome us, help with the luggage & show us to our suite.

We spent a night in The Library celebrating my wife's 50th birthday as a special treat. Staff were friendly and attentive but leave you to have your meal in peace! We had a good & peaceful nights sleep -...For our last night in Edinburgh we were looking for a great dining experience, so decided to book the Witchery's Secret Garden.
Superb! The suite completely lived up to my expectations: romantic, olde worlde, medieval & sumptuous!
